The Phonics Booster is an optional add-on designed for families who would like to develop their child's reading, writing, spelling, pronunciation, and listening skills alongside their English lessons.
Rather than simply extending lesson time, the Phonics Booster transforms each 60-minute lesson into a 70-minute lesson, allowing dedicated time for both English communication and systematic phonics instruction.
The first part of each lesson focuses on our CEFR English curriculum, while the second half is devoted entirely to our structured phonics programme.
Together, these two learning pathways help children become confident communicators and confident readers.
Every Phonics Booster lesson is divided into two focused learning sessions.
The first half of the lesson follows our CEFR-based English curriculum, helping students develop practical communication skills through speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities.
The second half follows our Systematic Synthetic Phonics programme, where students learn letter sounds, blending, segmenting, spelling rules, handwriting, dictation, pronunciation, and reading through engaging games and activities.
